More posts coming soon…

Regular readers may have noticed I’ve not been posting very much over the last few weeks, but don’t worry – I’m not giving up blogging! I’ve been quite busy lately and blogging takes quite a lot of time up – hopefully I’ll have the time to do more posts soon.

Thanks for visiting!

Announcement: New design for Exploring Our World

As regular readers will already have noticed, Exploring Our World now has a new look. Why did I change? Basically, I was starting to find the old design a bit narrow and cramped, and I think the new design is a lot more airy and fresh. Hopefully it should be easier to read too, because the text size is larger in this new design.

Please tell me what you think – if everyone hates it I’m prepared to change back again!

By the way, please can I repeat what I said a couple of weeks ago about the RSS feed – make sure that you’re subscribed to the one with FeedBurner in the URL, not the one with WordPress in. Click here if you don’t get what I’m talking about.  🙂

While I’m doing an announcement post, I’d like to say thank you to everyone who has helped me over the past three months since I started blogging. Every comment is really appreciated, and I’d like to say thanks especially to Gillian and Bill (Hyakutake) for your many comments. Thanks to everyone else too, and also to those people who visit frequently but don’t have time to leave a comment.

By the way, the new image in the header is from an excellent National Geographic article. Click here.

Announcement: RSS Feed

Please could anyone subscribing to the RSS feed for this blog ensure that they are subscribing to the feed powered by Feedburner, not the one powered by WordPress.

The Feedburner feed should display better on some platforms, and it also enables me to get stats on how many people are subscribing to the feed, which the WordPress feed does not let me do. Don’t worry – it doesn’t give me personal information about you or anything – I’d just like to keep more of a count on how many people read my blog.

To check you are subscribed to the correct feed, make sure you are using this URL:

I’d like to say a huge thanks to anyone who is subscribing to my blog – it makes it all worth it when I know there are people out there genuinely interested in what I write. Thanks also to anyone who reads my blog – it’s greatly appreciated. 🙂
